Help shape the day itself — timings, logistics and all the moving parts on the ground.
Spread the word through social posts, local press and the wider community.
Find and coordinate the volunteers who keep the parade and crowds safe on the day.
Keep the site up to date with news, dates and information for visitors.
Plan the route, line-up and entries that make the parade the carnival’s centrepiece.
Build relationships with local businesses to help fund the carnival each year.
Manage stallholder bookings and keep the day’s traders happy.
Help run our year-round events — Bingo nights, Santa’s Grotto and much, much more.
Handle risk assessments, licences and the paperwork that keeps everything above board.
I get involved in the tradition of Bewdley Carnival, because I am born and bred in Bewdley, many moons ago I was in the parade, its amazing and so rewarding to now be part of the organising committee to go full circle and keep this going for more years to come. — Committee volunteer
